I loved it…
BEST LINE: Richard confronts the Smocke (Smoke Monster/Locke), who responds to Richard that it is good to see “you without your chains.” Richard is stunned and replies “You?!,”
Initially I thought that when the Island was rebooted Jack would be in an alternate reality where he was a race car driver named Racer X, so I guess my whole theory that the Wachowski Brother’s film Speed Racer was a Lost tie-in was wrong. But since his dad is dead maybe in this alt reality when he comes home he has to take care of his 5 siblings (one being Jennifer Love Hewitt) so we can finally see a Party of Five reunion.
No one is mentioning that the kids that gave the food to Jack and Kate were older versions of the kids from the tail end of the plane that I think Anna Lucia (or someone else) saw a few seasons ago that were barefoot in the jungle wearing rags carrying that stuffed teddy bear. Personally I’m glad they outgrew that Teddy Bear. It was was a crutch.

MIND HURTING Cool Theories (LOSTPEDIA)
Previous episodes show Locke being in complete wreck and depression leading to his flight back to Los Angeles, so how he suddenly becomes very happy? it must be that the nemesis took Locke’s body in the new dimension, which he’s heading back to Locke’s home as the nemesis wants to, and it seems that the nemesis is going to be doing some dirty damage in the new dimension.
DOGAN He uses very old Japanese language implying he is as old (or older) as Richard and Jacob. He may find English distasteful because it is a relatively “new” language. Dogan is the equal to Richard. However, he is the advisor for the MIB (MAN IN BLACK) instead of Jacob. It will soon be learned that the MIB is the good guy, and Jacob is the bad guy. Here is my evidence; Jacob asked for Ilana’s help - her and her friends insist on being the good guys. Lupidas doubts this very much, as does Sun, saying the people that go out of their way to say they are the good guys often turn out to be the opposite.
Jacob is going to do all he can to keep the survivors on the island and his nemesis is going to do all he can to take them off the island. It seems that death on the island (the present inside the temple) leads to a life where the hydrogen bomb worked, seen through how Juliet said “it worked” and how she thought she was seeing Sawyer where they could “get coffee sometime.” Juliet’s thoughts were fluttering in between both presents as she was dying and that’s why she wanted to go on a date with Sawyer one second and wanted him to kiss her the second. Jacob’s nemesis knows that if the survivors die on the island they will go “home”—the same place he tells Ben he wants to go to. Jacob knows that if Sayid dies his nemesis will quickly come and try to kill all of the survivors, thus why all of the others at the Temple prepare for the smog with the dust like the man inside Jacob’s house did. If Jacob’s nemesis successfully kills the survivors, as he killed Jacob, the island will no longer be influenced by the outside world that he is so worried will corrupt the Island. He knocks out Richard at the end of the episode because he knows the survivors will recognize him as Locke and the others will recognize Richard as a friend they must help, therefore willing to let them into the temple. Once inside the Temple he will be able to kill them all and successfully create one present where they never came to the island.
INTERESTING TO NOTE: Shannon is explained to not be on the plane by Boone. Originally, Shannon was set to make an appearance, but Maggie Grace was unable to film any scenes due to her busy schedule. Thus, the backstory was rewritten to accommodate this. [2]

EW POP WATCH w/ DAMON AND CARLTON - They confirm some things and drop clues like…
“Should you infer that the detonation of Jughead is what sunk the island? Who knows? But there’s the Foot. What do you get when you see that shot? It looks like New Otherton got built. These little clues [might help you] extrapolate when the Island may have sunk. Start to think about it. “
DARK UFO’S THEORIES
“Whatever happened to cause the wound on Jack’s neck, perhaps it only happened in the one “true” universe. It’s possible the mirror is reflecting back something that happens to Jack later on, or maybe even at the end of the show. It’s important to realize that we never see this wound directly, but only in the mirror.”

Liz: But getting back to Desmond’s presence on the plane. Aside from showing off that snappy new haircut, what in the world was he doing there? And where did he disappear to before the plane landed at LAX? Jack almost — almost — recognized him. Desmond hinted at that when he said, “Nice to meet you, or to see you again.”
Jen: Is it possible that Desmond is flashing between two worlds somehow? That was the first explanation I came up with as to why he’d be there one minute and gone the next. (Oh, and did you catch Des’s reading material? Salman Rushdie’s “Haroun and the Sea of Stories,” a book Wikipedia describes as “set in a city so old and ruinous that it has forgotten its name.”)
