When people ask me what I do on Friday Nights, it’s really hard to explain but I guess this picture pretty much sums it up.
That’s me in the middle above me is Wilhelm and below me is Marcus. We call ourselves FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS. We have one MISSION to Entertain Earth!
We normally twirl our electric flags for about 6 hours in front of a local mall fountain, a lot of people don’t get it and they yell stuff like “Hey look it’s the Electric Dickheads!” or “WOW! I feel like I’m in Gay Tron” - That’s not Cool, I hate that stuff.
Unfortunately we are slowing down our performances because we found the glowing make-up we used actually is pretty toxic. Marcus is slowly dying and I fear we are next.

This is Awesome, I was literally talking about this the other night, that Norm appearance on Conan is amazing!
Jesse Thorn put together a great set of clips from Norm MacDonald on Conan back in 1997 where he really zings Courtney Thorne-Smith. I saw this show the day it aired back in college, and thought it was one of the funniest things I’d ever seen. I’ve told dozens of people about it over the years. If only YouTube had existed 10 years ago.
HUMAN GIANT is doing a special bi-monthly show on Mondays at 11 at the UCB Theatre in LA. This will be very similar to the old Crash Test shows we used to do in NY, in that basically it will be a very loose format and each week will be a very different show. One night could be all of us doing improv, another night could be a weird “Trapped in the Closet” type show, one week we may do a screening, they are basically just giving us an hour to do whatever we want.
This week, we decided to host our annual “Entourage” fan convention - CON-TOURAGE - at the theatre. We’ll have some special guests doing standup and I believe a musical guest as well.
